Shawn Robertson
Shawn is the Senior Pastor at Idabel FBC he came to our church family on November 30, 2008. Shawn and his wife Kristal have been married since December 2, 1995. It is their goal in marriage to bring glory to God, by putting Him first in all things. The Lord has blessed them with three wonderful children. A daughter Paitin and two sons Kohl & Keegan. Shawn transferred from Southwestern Baptist Theological Seminary to Oklahoma Baptist University and is currently pursuing his BA in Christian Studies. Shawn enjoys spending time with his family and friends.
Shawn came to saving faith in Christ on December 16, 2001. Before his conversion he actually thought he was saved. Shawn at the age of 17 had gone through all the motions but something was still missing. Years later he and his wife started to attend Oak Grove Baptist church. It was there that the Lord called Shawn unto Himself. In repentance and faith Shawn gave his life to the One who gave His life for him. Four months later the Lord called Shawn into the ministry on April 14, 2002.
Shawn and his family are excited about what the Lord is doing in their personal lives and the life of Idabel FBC.
A word from the Pastor: My personal goal in ministry is to Exalt God, Edify the Church, and to Evangelize the Lost. I have a zeal for the expository preaching of God’s word. I believe that the word of God is a life changing tool that is to be preached to its fullest, and taught with a passion to God’s people.
