Some of you might be asking why do I not sense the leading and guiding of God in my life? Do you ever feel as if you have drifted away from the Lord? Do not feel like the Lone Ranger this happens to a multitude of people. It’s not like you just woke up one morning and decided today I am going to walk away from God. It’s something that is gradual, what I mean is it usually starts with neglecting time in prayer and bible study. You might miss a day or two and then the next thing you know it becomes a habit. If you are a born again believer in the Lord Jesus Christ, you need to know that He doesn’t want this for your life. He is waiting on you to return to Him and get back on track. So what do I need to do? I am glad you asked. Scripture repeats over and over again how God wants His people to return to Him. That means that God wants His people to repent of their sins and turn to Him for daily refreshing. Each day you need to spend quality time alone with Him, and you need to spend time with other believers who will help you in your daily walk. Right where you’re at right now, ask God to forgive you for your drifting away and ask Him to pour out His Holy Spirit upon your life. O yeah you need to know this is the will of God for you. He wants increase in your life, more of Him and less of you.

Scriptures for Application:

Hosea 6:1-3 What does this scripture say about those who return to the Lord? Hint vs 3

Isaiah 1:15-20 This passage tells us that God rejects false worship (vs 15). It also teaches us if we repent He will strengthen our fellowship with Himself (vs 16-19).

Acts 3:19-20 When we repent and turn to God what doe He do for us?

Action: Now that you have renewed your fellowship with Him you are to be living sold out for Him.
